The main role of High carbon silicon6818 in steelmaking process


At present, the deoxidizer used in domestic metallurgical industry steelmaking production is mainly ferromanganese, ferrosilicon, silicomanganese, and the final deoxidizer is mainly aluminum and aluminum alloy.


The traditional deoxidation method of direct deoxidation of metal aluminum, aluminum and aluminum alloy deoxidation, deoxidation product AL203, belongs to micro inclusion or ultra micro inclusion, not easy to exclude from liquid steel, affecting the quality and mechanical properties of steel.



The chemical composition of High carbon silicon for steelmaking 6818 is Si68% and C18%. It is a new deoxidizer for steelmaking, improving the physical, mechanical and technological properties of steel.


High carbon silicon for steelmaking 6818 has the advantages of removing gas and changing non-metallic inclusions, refining and desulfurizing inclusions, spherodizing and grain refining, and improving the quality of steelmaking and mechanical properties. To ensure the low content of Als (acid-soluble aluminum) and AL2O3 (aluminum oxide) inclusions in steel, the effect of calcium aluminum silicate inclusions in steel can be reduced and eliminated.
